The Tamkota chef knife blade was manufactured with VG10 steel, marveled as the "gold standard" material for its ability to resist rust and hold an edge.
Blade:The blade core is made of ultra-hard Japanese VG-10 stainless steel which is enveloped by 22 layers on each side with soft and hard stainless steel. This finest stainless steel contains a lot of carbon and has an unprecedented hardness of approximately 61+/- Rockwell. VG-10 steel is used because it ensures a high degree of purity and an exceptionally sharp cutting edge.
Handle:The beautiful handle is made out of FDA-approved night-black G10/FR, which is an odorless and enormously durable material made of glass fabric and electrical grade epoxy resin. It has full tang construction, which gives the knife outstanding stability and balance.
